I believe that parenting is one of the most potent and challenging of life’s journeys; even more so when our children have special needs or “disabilities”, when the demands on us, our inner wisdom, and resources are in such high demand.
My greatest fears began to manifest and haunt me when my son’s physical and learning challenges began to manifest. I felt alone, terrified, and disconnected from other parents, myself, and my body. I was afraid to make mistakes or wrong decisions in this new territory, and my overwhelming love for my son felt stunted by my confusion around how to best help and serve him.  The moment I discovered this path of yoga and movement I felt like I had come home; I had arrived at the threshold of a journey that would take me not only into my deepest mama wisdom and capacities but also into wholeness, unconditional love, and joy.
